Our animals are family. And what better way to welcome a new family member to the fold than by hanging their picture on your wall at home? For this campaign, I enlisted more than 50 local artists to paint, illustrate, photograph and even quilt the hardest-to-adopt animals at Oakland Animal Services. Owners who adopted not only received the artwork for free, they got a new family member to boot. The program was a huge success – nearly all of the animals were adopted within the first month.
